Growing up in a first-generation family, I saw how much stigma could surround mental health and asking for help. It’s part of why I chose this work and created The Safe State. I wanted a space where seeking support felt safe and less intimidating. Where you could find empathy instead of judgment for what you’re going through.

Therapy is a team effort.

Therapy with me is active and collaborative. I'll listen, ask questions, notice patterns, and offer gentle challenges when they're helpful. I'm direct, but I balance that with compassion, honesty, and space for vulnerability. Trust matters, and we'll work at a pace that feels right for you.

We'll tackle real stuff, but that doesn't mean everything has to feel heavy. There's room to reflect, laugh, and have lighter moments, too.

I’m human, too.

I’m a mom and the wife of a veteran/first responder, so I know what it’s like to balance different roles.

When I’m not in the therapist chair, you might find me at an arcade with my family, trying a new ice cream shop, or at home with my two dachshunds: one mini and one who somehow became an “XL mini.”

TRAINING & BACKGROUND

The professional stuff.

I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Military Families and Culture. My additional clinical training includes EMDR therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy® (ART), perinatal mental health, and trauma and nervous system regulation, which continue to inform my work.
