Answers to common questions about starting therapy, sessions, fees, and what to expect.

The first step is scheduling a free 15-minute consultation. We’ll briefly talk about what you’re looking for, answer any questions you have, and determine whether working together makes sense.
If you’d like to move forward, we can schedule your first session and you’ll receive access to the client portal to complete your intake paperwork before we meet.

Individual therapy sessions are $90 for 52 minutes. Payment is due at the time of service.

The Safe State Counseling is a private-pay practice and does not currently accept insurance. Private pay gives you more control over your privacy and your care, since insurance companies may require clinical information, including a diagnosis, to process claims or determine coverage.
It also allows decisions about the focus and length of therapy to be based on your individual needs rather than insurance requirements.

Yes. In-person sessions are available in Fort Worth at 6850 Manhattan Blvd, Suite 510-6, Fort Worth, TX 76120. Secure online therapy is also available for adults located anywhere in Texas.

Your first session is mostly about getting to know each other. We’ll review any important intake information, talk about what brought you to therapy, and discuss what you’d like to work toward.
You don’t need to prepare anything special or know exactly what to say. I’ll ask questions and help guide the conversation.

An LPC Associate is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has completed the graduate education and clinical training required for licensure and is completing additional supervised experience toward independent licensure in Texas.
As an LPC Associate, I provide therapy under the supervision of Casey Davids, M.Ed., LPC-S, License #72570. Supervision provides an additional layer of clinical consultation and accountability while I remain your therapist and your care stays focused on you.

Yes. What you share in therapy is confidential and is not disclosed without your permission, with limited exceptions required by law or when there is a serious concern for safety.
We’ll review confidentiality and its limits before beginning therapy, and you’re always welcome to ask questions about how your information is protected.

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, may be charged up to the full session fee. Exceptions may be made depending on individual circumstances.
